Moyvalley Hotel & Golf Resort - Enfield

4-star golf resort on a 200 hectare estate with an 18-hole course by Darren Clarke

Accommodation & Grounds

Moyvalley Hotel & Golf Resort Enfield offers 54 boutique-style rooms set within a 19th-century Italianate mansion overlooking a 200 hectare estate. The grounds include well-maintained lawns, gardens, and a 7 km woodland walk that guests can explore by bicycle (available free of charge). Pet-friendly policies allow guests to bring their dogs, and family cottages provide extra space for larger groups.

Golf & Recreation

The resort's 18-hole golf course was designed by Ryder Cup star Darren Clarke, offering a layout similar to a links course. Beyond golf, guests can use complimentary bicycles to cycle the estate, fish in the on-site waters, or play billiards in the hotel. Children have access to a dedicated playground, and the hotel provides babysitting services upon request.

Dining

The Moyvalley Hotel features two on-site dining options: the Waterways fine dining restaurant and the Sundial Bar, both using locally sourced ingredients. The Sundial Bar offers a balcony with views over the estate and serves cocktails, wine, and craft beers at reasonable prices. Special diet menus, kids' meals, and breakfast in the room are available, with breakfast praised for its buffet and freshly prepared omelettes.

Events & Celebrations

Moyvalley Golf Resort is a popular wedding venue, with the Stonehouse available for ceremonies and the 10-bedroom Balyna House for receptions, complete with its own bar and butler. The hotel's wedding coordinator, Niamh O'Reilly, manages personalized celebratory packages and setups. Flexible event spaces also cater to business meetings and corporate events, with meeting and banquet facilities on site.
